Mooseberry Quarantine
Hitchcoc5 November 2014
Rocky and Bullwinkle must come up with a Mooseberry Bush as a prime ingredient in their rocket fueled concoctions. However, the island where the bushes are abundant has a quarantine because of a blight. Bullwinkle nearly drowns because despite all his plans, he forgets he can't swim and goes over a waterfall. He grasps a shrub growing out of an escarpment and when Rocky reels him in, they realize it is a Mooseberry Bush. Boris and Natasha get wind of this an once again test their incompetence against the plucky pair. The "Fractured Fairy Tale" this time is "The Little Tailor." He's the one who kills seven flies on one of his sandwiches and then makes a t-shirt that says, "Seven With One Blow." He becomes feared far and wide as a formidable killer. He decides he is so important that he enlists the help of a giant to gain the hand of a beautiful princess. Some nice twists and turns. Peabody and Sherman visit Lucretia Borgia who murdered her first husband and is trying to poison the present one. She is a great cook who uses arsenic and strychnine in her recipes. Her husband loves her and finds it hard to hold it against her. There's some really good stuff in this set of features.

Many of my baking friends have asked me over the years . . .
pixrox126 October 2023
. . . whether I have a good recipe for "moose berry pie." Sadly, i must always respond that I do not have ANY formulations to share for making such a dessert--good, or otherwise. I'm reminded of this information deficit by this continuing Bullwinkle JET FUEL saga, in which moose berries are the missing ingredient for some sort of rocket fuel. I must confess that I do not recall learning how to concoct any sort of dessert containing an active ingredient for jet propulsion. Perhaps my baking friends, many of whom are animation buffs, are conflating moose berries with gooseberries. Perhaps I should inform them that I DO have good recipes for gooseberry pies.
