Feels like a documentary

Warning: Spoilers
I think this show is very well done. These actors lined feel very unscripted, however not like they are bad actors, on the contrary it feels like a natural conversation between drug dealers, cops, users etc The music is pretty poor in my opinion and the main reason I didn't score this higher. The camera work is very casual, which suits the acting, however at times it seems a tad sloppy. There is an occasional jab at white people and the police but it's not over the top. Many of these type shows can get overly to the point it doesn't serve the story. The main protagonist constantly reminds us of how his father led him into this life. The use of books such as The Art of War, and the constant philosophy of "get or be gotten" and "survival of the fittest, law of the jungle" etc serve to remind us that Adonis has chosen this life, it hasn't been forced upon him by society, or Nurture. He does however site his fathers overdose as a pivotal moment in his life Long winded review and way of saying I highly recommend this show

Excellent Crime Drama
Crystalgoodwin8427 June 2019
One of the best crime dramas on television and it's filmed mostly in my hometown of Washington, DC, based on true stories. The storyline and acting are excellent, the action and suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat, can't wait to see each episode.

Immersive, Wire-to-Wire Episodic Programming
TheAll-SeeingI20 February 2020
I've yet to fully hone my binge watching skills, but "Transitions" gets me closer, as its first episode sucked me in and forced me to carve out a full afternoon to eat all of it up. This is an engrossing series, with its five installments building on one another as a kingpin's intoxication with the power grab and his subsequent tweaks to the business model give way to all the nuisances that come with success.

Adonis Blackwell (Anwan Glover) is a compelling lead character, projecting the ruthless enthusiasm we imagine is a prerequisite for thriving in this business. And that business is, increasingly, fentanyl. Despite its massive rise to street prominence, dramatic programming had yet to distinguish the fentanyl trade as any different from what came before it, but "Transitions" bridges that gap with edgy portrayals and increasing complications that deliver wire-to-wire.

This kind of entertainment vehicle never loses its allure if done at a consistently high level, and "Transitions" exemplifies that. - Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!

Absolute garbage
sirthalas19 December 2019
This must be the worst series I have seen in a long time. It appears that this is home made with absolute rubbish equipment and alot of unexperienced actors. The sound is dreadful, and the filming is not much better. Could not stand to watch another episode.
