Generalissimo was another quite funny episode of "30 Rock"
tavm13 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, a bunch of white male investment bankers recently laid off are now interns and have roped Tracy Jordan into some all-nighters which is ironic since Jordan quickly gets tired of them, Jack has a hard time impressing Elisa's grandmother because of his resemblance to the villain in her favorite telenova, and Liz checks out mail accidentally left in her apartment and finds out the owner is a handsome doctor just moved to her floor...What a hoot to see Alec Baldwin play both Jack and this soap actor with mustache. And this is the first of several eps to have "Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm playing this doctor Liz is smitten with. Not quite as hilarious as previous episodes but there's still some entertaining gems of humor like those concerning "roofies"! I especially loved Liz' villainous cackle as she starts acting just like that telenova villain. Next episode takes place on Valentine's Day so until next time...

Alec Baldwin

Warning: Spoilers
Alec Baldwin as the despicable Generalissimo was hilariously superb! I'm sure Alec's three brothers would have been proud of his LOL performance as the Generallisimo in the Mexican sitcom. Jon Hamm makes his debut as Liz's neighbour, and he is all that Liz can dream of.

A Classic!
g-bodyl27 November 2014
This is the tenth episode of the third season of 30 Rock and it's a near comedy classic. To this date, the episode is the highest-rated of the series and it deserves it. Alec Baldwin is excellent as always, but he takes it to a new level by playing two characters, including one with a Hispanic background. Jon Hamm makes a great addition to the cast as Liz's new neighbor.

In this episode, "Generalissimo," Elisa's grandmother hates Jack because he looks very similar to an evil general in a Spanish television program, so Jack decides to change the personality of the general. Meanwhile, Liz tries to woo her new neighbor by doing unpractical things like open his mail.

Overall, this is a fantastic episode and it's one of my favorites. It has a strong screenplay and the jokes work almost every time. I rate this episode 9/10.

Generalissimo (#3.10)

Warning: Spoilers
Elisa's grandma dislikes Jack because he looks exactly like the evil guy from her favorite soap opera. Jack buys it to work on the problem. Liz hooks up with her neighbour by manipulating him after reading his post and even roofies him. And Tracy can't keep up with the interns party style.

Just another classic. Love the whole story about Generalissimo. Alec Baldwin is absolutely fantastic, love seeing him as the evil soap character as well! and it turns out greatly.

Also loved to see Liz being all evil. This is what I like about the show, she is a sweet character but they keep on having her make some nasty things, while we still continue to like and understand her.
