Alluring Rebecca

This was the best short I've ever seen. Nika Burnett was quite alluring. Great casting. FINALLY a DUST ending that wasn't done in one or two frame blips. Bravo! I've watched maybe 30-40 DUST shorts and this is the first without a seriously super stupid 1-2 frame blip ending.

Notice that this movie has what Hollywood completely misses - a story. And it doesn't need or have obligatory car chases that last a half hour or intricate karate scenes or vomitous vomit scenes or gratuitous nekked scenes or forced 4-second sex scenes. This movie is actually very entertaining.

Grove Film Festival - Winner - Best Picture and Actor.

Florence Film Awards - Honorable Mention: Sci-Fi - A Week With Rebecca by Marcus Shenn. Among other awards.

exceptional

I am not a fan of romances. But this film, in profound sense, it is a splendid surprise and a great gift. First, for admirable work of Nika Burnett. Second for solid, gentle, wise and precise crafted storz. Not the last, for old flavors of genre. A remarkable short film about love, happiness, sense of life and truth. So, just exceptional.

A decent story in a short movie.

If Dust has shown me one thing, it's that most of the stories have a strange and often, confusing endings, and often, a confusing story as well.

Finally, one that has a beginning, and middle and an end that leaves you wanting more, but completes the story in a way that doesn't leave you scratching your head. It's well worth watching and tells an entire story in a few minutes that would take Hollywood an hour or more to tell.

Nika Burnett was an ideal actress cast for the role. Attractive, but not insanely sexy or beautiful or huge breasted as you would imagine a companion robot would be. Just an ordinary attractive girl who could easily be mistaken for a human. Not an attention grabbing beacon of unrealism that would practically stand out and scream "Sex Bot!" anywhere you went.

Nika herself played the role very well and convincingly, as did Phil Kruse, a normal guy who is volunteered, almost against his will and is not quite sure about testing a robot as a companion.

I was blown away, that the actress succeded, to build a bond in only 25 min is outstanding. Hope she will recordgnised by big productions, she deserves it.
