why

Why they tried to save Cressida Clarke? This is so dumb.

You are putting everyone in danger Turner!!! And you even don't have any power to protect yourself. This is just selfish. I usually love flaws in character but this is just being dumb.....Almost everytime he needs people to save him, so how comes he is always the one who makes the call in every situation? I think the actor who plays Turner, his acting is fine but the writer really did him dirty, we'll see, maybe he has some kinds of secret talent to save everyone. Other than that i love the dynamics between the characters. Also, Misha, your performance is so good! I really like your acting! Really fantastic.

Sorry for my poor English btw.

Interesting

Ok, this was very interesting.

I have two main problems with the episode and some things I really liked.

Problems. What is the reason about stealing the map? Are the knights going to grab the electrum themselves? Or the show is implying that if the map is stolen the owls would not be able to find the electrum, as if they did not take pictures of the map or anything.

And the chancellor revelation. The man is allegedly super hurt and unable to move well, but he could host the party so well?

Minor problem I forgot about: why are they taking off the masks where there is danger, and why is Robin using Turner name around the minions? I know they finally caught him so that is a moot point, but what if he had ran away?

Things I really like: Turner risking everything for saving Cressida. A true Batman thing. Duela speech about rich people. Stephanie subplot. And, of course, Harvey. Misha is doing a great job.

I am intrigued about why the Talon hurt and almost killed the chancellor.

Turner is his father's son

Warning: Spoilers
So, Bruce definitely raised Turner in his image, even if Turner didn't know he was Batman... His choice to save Cressida may not make sense to many but it does to me, for years she's been the closest thing he has to a mother, and she has answers to questions he wants answering. I just wish he hadn't gotten himself caught over it.

I suspect a lot of the Court don't know the other members true identities, the masks seem to stay on ALL the time they are together: wearing them on approach and the whole time they're there?

The reveal of the 'leader' being Lincoln was only a slight surprise, I recognised him around the mask, I'm just a bit baffled as to why the Talon stabbed him. Bit extreme to kebab the guy just to throw suspicion off him as being a member... looking forward to seeing how that progresses.

Poor Harvey. Misha's got that confusion down amazingly well, he's getting more panicked each time he wakes up from a Fugue Harvey episode, it's time to go back to the doctor Harvey! I wish he would, but story wise I know he won't... Two-Face cannot be far away (my bet is ep 10)

Duela's reaction to Turner being captured was amazing, the girl who cares about nobody was suddenly ready to run headlong into danger for the 'Batbrat'. Maybe Duela is finally learning to get close to someone... love? Maybe, maybe not. Could just be that he's the first to ever 'come back for her' after the save in episode 3.

Stephanie's storyline is breaking my heart, talk about gaslighting the poor girl! How is it okay to be using your daughter's name on painkiller prescriptions?? Dad, sort yourself out, Gotham celebrity or not, you can't let this happen. I worry for Stephanie's safety, the damage her mother caused when she took the pills... she's not in her right mind.

More please, stop taking week-long breaks, you're killing us!

The viewers are not dumb

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this show, I really do. But I feel at times the audience is treated as dumb. And that the court is actually not as clever as they make them out to be either.

They have searched for that map for 100 years and so they put it in an empty room without guards?

They know how many members they have and know each one. But they don't notice two strangers, teenagers even? I would like to believe they were clever and knew who they were, but wanted Turner all along. But it's CW and no.

So really, they can just run out with the map and no one notices?

How did they not even have guards outside, where someone would have seen all the knights?

I get it's a teen show. But for a group so menacing and amazing that they rule the whole city, they sure are dumb.

And the biggest complaint I have about this episode: are you kidding me with this whole reveal of the leader of the court? As if we as the audience didn't notice his hair and greying beard every time he turned his head? Are you serious in thinking none of us knew who he was? That big "reveal" was just insulting.

On a positive note: the whole Harvey storyline is so intruiging. And that reveal was amazing. Misha's acting is spot on. The subtle smirk appearing when that song was playing? The utter shock in the end finding himself in a strange place, covered in blood and wearing an owl mask?

Who did he hurt? Was he there when she was killed? Or did he kill someone else? Why is he alone? Why did they get him to come there? How did they even get to that evil inside of him? When did they program him?

I kind of wish this show was about Harvey Dent. Or that the knights were grown ups and not teens. Maybe then the storylines would make sense. I would get grown crime fighters beating that court. But teens who have no experience outsmarting a group that has been ruling the city for hundreds of years? Who are killing powerful people? Who killed Batman? Come on. I hope the show gets picked up on HBO and that they mature the level of writing.
