I Hate This Sequel Warning: Spoilers
Another sequel? I don't get it!

1. The pups that the Alpha and Omega have are spoiled little brats that never respect their parents as authority figures. They told their parents that 'Didn't you two used to get into a lot of trouble?' Yes they did but that situation was out of their control and every other time it's the kids that keep causing the issues.

2. This movie fails at following the ark of the story with the Alpha and Omegas. Some of the other characters aren't even there. Where did they go? Why weren't they even mentioned? They call a place mountain pooh mountain in the first movie but that was a joke by Lily. In this movie though mountain pooh mountain is an actual title. How is it that these film makers couldn't tell that it was a joke and not a real place?

3. The animation is just as bad as the other sequels. It looks like an unfinished game-cube project.

4. This movie doesn't even work as trying to be scary since that is what it's supposed to be. The ghost isn't scary and hardly does anything but blow a bunch of leaves around and stare intensely. Sorry movie but that doesn't work.

5. The other animals are dull-witted, irritating and just serve no purpose to the story. The blind wolf should have been an Omega. Make her one and she can use her blindness for comedy. However the filmmakers seem to have forgotten the word 'Omega' in the title.

I have no idea how this has such a high rating when it's painfully obvious how much this movie isn't good. I give this a 1/10 because this movie fell flat on its face. Sorry Alpha and Omega fans but it's not very good.

A Fourth Movie That's Not Very Good
maykennon-6463917 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really didn't like the sequels (even though the first is a guilty pleasure) but this one didn't even try.

The characters are all bad. I don't get why the pups keep being so mean to there parents. Those aren't nice characters I want to follow. Everyone else is just dumb and poorly written. The humor is bad. I didn't crack a smile once in this movie. I laughed at least twice in the sequel to Planes. That's how bad the humor is. The animation isn't as bad but it's still not good. The story has a lot of questions and plot holes that make it feel long and dragged out. Why don't we here from Claudette's love interest Fleet again? Why didn't we see Lily go into Shadow Forest? What's the origin for the ghost? Since it's a scary movie apparently it isn't very scary. The ghost wolf which is supposed to scare us doesn't do anything. He doesn't even chase the characters he just stares at them. Please stop making sequels. I liked the first movie but seeing more sequels just keeps making me disappointed.

Worst One Yet And Stop Making Sequels
brookewhite19983 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Oh goodness not another awful Alpha and Omega sequel...stop making these please....

This one is easily the worst one. The third one had more irritating animation but aside from that this one is much worse.

~ It's not scary at all which is what it's supposed to be. How are we supposed to be scared by a ghost wolf that is never explained and hardly does anything other than glare at everything?

~ All of these first movie characters are practically poked fun at harshly. Kate is no longer the strong Alpha female like she was earlier, Humphrey isn't getting any more likable and Lily is supposed to be cute and funny which was never present through out this movie. The others are pointless.

~ It shows no interest in continuing the story ark. Where are those little animal creatures from the third movie?

~The writing is garbage and full of plot holes that makes this movie a huge mess.

~ The pups in this movie never listen to their parents and show n signs of respect for them at all. Those little things are the most aggravating characters in this movie.

These people have no idea what has happened in the first movie and yet they somehow do. Saw Tooth was the national park in the first movie where Kate and Humphrey were sent to. Why didn't they name this movie The Legend of Shadow Forest? That's where it takes place!

Please just stop making more sequels. No one asks for sequels and no one wants to see another horrendous Alpha And Omega movie. Just let these series of movies stop. Better late than never.

this movie's everything a sequel should be!

i'm a huge Alpha and Omega fan. i love the movies, i have all 3 of them on DVD and Blu-Ray. i think this is a fantastic franchise that just keeps getting better and better. now okay, i'll admit Alpha and Omega 3 went a little downhill (a little, not by much). that movie - although good - wasn't the sequel we wanted, it had flaws and it didn't really live up to the hype of the first two. now, Alpha and Omega 4 was the movie i was really excited about, cause the trailer was awesome. but i was also a little skeptical and worried if the movie was either gonna be great or a complete let down. cause ya know, usually after the third movie, a franchise starts to go downhill with the fourth movie. i'm really glad to say: Alpha and Omega 4 helped the franchise get back on track. you can already tell i loved this movie. sure, it's still 47 minutes long but whoa! i was so surprised at much i adored this sequel! it does everything right! the characters are back and they're better, the script's solid, it introduced two incredible new characters that i can't wait to see them again in the next one, it didn't shy away from being darker and more mature, it was funny, it was emotional, it was intriguing and intense... it's - like i said - everything a sequel should be. and yeah, the movie wouldn't be complete if it didn't have that awesome show down at the end. i'm telling ya, the climax of this movie is just all sorts of kick ass and awesome. by the time the end credits started rolling, i was sitting there all like "this movie's awesome!" and honestly, for any age group, this movie's gonna appeal to everybody. Hollywood, take note of this and give us more great sequels like Alpha and Omega 4. i loved this movie, it was my favorite movie of 2014, it deserves all the praise it's gotten so far. seriously, if you're a Alpha and Omega fan or a fan of movies in general, go and watch Alpha and Omega 4

Thought that this franchise couldn't get any worse
TheLittleSongbird3 August 2017
Made the decision, despite not caring much at all for the first 'Alpha and Omega', to see its follow-ups (yes there is a franchise) out of curiosity and as an enormous fan of animation, would see anything regardless of critical reception.

'Alpha and Omegas' first two sequels were all dreadful for all the same reasons. To me they were just of very poor quality and even worse served no point at all, the first sequel 'A Howl-iday Adventure' proved that 'Alpha and Omega' didn't need a sequel let alone a franchise which is what makes the follow-ups even more painful. 'The Legend of the Saw Toothed Cave' is sadly no improvement whatsoever, like the previous two sequels (hence the similar wording in this review for 'A Howl-iday Adventure' and 'The Great Wolf Games'), repeating all the mistakes/flaws from the original and the previous sequels, amplifying those flaws, and making more along the way.

Let's start with the animation. The animation wasn't the best in the first film but it had its decent moments. It however is 'Toy Story' compared to the animation quality here, which is not quite Video Brinquedo, Spark Plug Entertainment or 'Foodfight' bad but almost and on the same level as 'The Swan Princess' CGI films. Blocky character designs, almost creepy expressions, very flat colours, a complete lack of fluidity in movement, endless goofs as long as your arm and less than meticulously detailed backgrounds are reminiscent of computer animation and video games in their infancy, something that one does not expect at all for 2014 even for low budget when technology has advanced as much as it has.

Can say no better for the music either. None of it fits with what's going on, stylistically it feels out of place and out of kilter, it's obtrusive and it's not even good music on its own. The writing is even worse, summing up in one word it's abominable. half-baked ideas and any parts that strive to be funny or poignant instead come across as eye-rollingly cheesy or cloying.

Worse are the "funny" jokes and dialogue, which are not funny at all, one groans at some of the wordplay/puns and older audiences who are children at heart whenever seeing animation (like me, one is never too old to appreciate animation and it is not strictly oriented towards kids only) will question the appropriateness of some of it.

Story-wise, there is not much of one at all. That it's short may be a comfort for the main target audience and older viewers, but that's saying nothing. It is short but feels longer thanks to plodding pacing and thin plotting, there may be a little more story than the previous two sequels but it is less than enthralling and feels very padded out for the running time.

Parts may (emphasis on that because how younger audiences deal with darker elements in films is often under-estimated) be too frightening for younger audiences, despite the threat just being there but not doing much. For older audiences it will be just too juvenile and dull.

The characters are never engaging, they are either bland or irritating and some of them are completely pointless. The climax has no fun, thrills or suspense at all.

Voice acting is weak all round, the first 'Alpha and Omega' at least had Hayden Panettiere giving a pretty good account of herself and Dennis Hopper. There is nobody of that calibre here, some overdo it and some act as if they weren't even trying.

Overall, the very poor quality of the franchise continues. We're four films in and the franchise already feels over-milked and in danger of becoming one of the most over-milked there is. 1/10 Bethany Cox

amazing movie! just how a REAL sequel should be!
movienerd109567919 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
just watched it last night... my mind was BLOWN! Alpha and Omega 4: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave is proof on how to do a sequel. let me start off by saying: this movie's only 47 minutes, but yet it does everything right. First of all, i loved how it didn't shy away from being darker. it's targeted to both audiences. i mean adults will love it cause it had darker themes that hits adults to the core, and kids'll love it cause it's a fun action with cool wolves. for any age group this movie's gonna appeal to everybody.

**Spoiler Alert**

okay, spoiler alert: if you haven't seen this movie yet and don't want anything spoiled, stop reading now. this movie introduces the best new characters we've had in the Alpha and Omega sequels. you got Daria, a blind wolf who's been living in the cave for years, hiding from the guys who wanted to kill her. and i gotta tell ya: Daria's flashback's one of the best scenes in the movie and one of my favorite scenes in the franchise. it goes deep into her story showing how she came to be and how she almost killed off if it weren't for her mom (who instead got killed off for breaking the rules) and the movie does that without narration. i loved it, i loved how this movie acknowledges the real life fact that animals do kill other animals that they find useless. right there, i was like "holy s@#t! i wasn't expecting something like this" it was great, i loved it. sure, it would've been even better if they showed more about how Daria felt throughout these long years while living in the cave, but as it stands, it worked well and i loved it. also, you can totally relate to Daria, cause she's the type of shy person who just wants to fit in with others even though she's not 100% perfect. that's what i call top notch writing! also, Alpha and Omega 4 introduces the first porcupine character in the franchise that's serves a point for being in the movie, and not just a pointless relief. yea Floyd: best and funniest porcupine character of the franchise. speaking of the other characters, like i said: they're back and they're even better! Runt gets the main focus again, but the kid's still great at what he does and he's definitely the best of the 3 puppies. he proves that even Omegas can act like Alphas, which was great to see. not only that, but he and Daria: their chemistry is one of the things that makes this movie so great. they're nothing like the generic "oh hey! we're best friends and we care about each other" type of characters. they have a lot more than that, they both get the right amount of screen time and development. and Kate and Humphrey in this movie: wow! i had no idea these 2 were gonna be so great in a movie together, let alone in a sequel together. they're getting worried at the fact that the puppies are growing up and it won't be long till they're old enough to have their own life. that's another great thing, cause it's something most parents in real life go through. but it wouldn't be complete without the end fight. WHOA! now i knew that Kate was gonna fight, cause she's an Alpha and Alphas do through (and admittedly, she was awesome). but Humphrey too?! you can remember him as the cool guy, the fun loving Omega from the other movies. well in this one, he shows that he'll do anything to make sure his family's safe. Humphrey's a total bad ass! the other characters are also back, they're great too. especially Tony, he gets a great role. he shows us that the last time he was in Shadow Forest with the other Alpha wolves didn't end as well as he thought. which is great! it helps the supernatural stuff in the movie have a point and not just be a regular haunting. my only gripe is that Lilly's only in the movie for the first 10-15 minutes. the trailer made out to be like she has a bigger role in the movie, but no. she's only at the beginning. maybe they're probably saving her for the next one.

all in all: Alpha and Omega 4 is a fantastic movie, the best outta the sequels, it does everything a sequel should do and lives up to the first movie, the characters are great, the animation's better (almost on par with A&O 1, which was a big surprise), it had great comedy, a great and original plot, it was intense, exciting, emotional and heart-warming... what's not to like about this movie? sure it does have some small flaws, but those are just nitpicks. and yea, a few scenes in the movie almost had me in tears. you can't help it, you relate to the characters so much that whenever a scene like this comes, you're like "Damn, that's just sad!" don't listen to the stupid and idiotic bad reviews in here, cause these reviews are just wrong! go watch Alpha and Omega 4, i'm sure you're gonna love it.

Best Alpha And Omega Movie Since The First
kula-kristin11 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I'll be honest, the last two Alpha And Omega movies while fun, and dramatic at times, they weren't as good as the first. But then the 4th movie was released and wow... It took me buy surprise. For the record I love this movie so much. It's my 2nd fave Alpha And Omega movie, after the first one)

The plot is just amazing with a dark tone and an unexpected twist. This was really well done. These are the type of movies I want more of from this series.

The character named Daria is a blind wolf, who was almost murdered as a pup. But her mother saved her from the pack leader, and as punishment for letting her blind daughter get away, she was killed instead...

The movie has this great set up starting with a flash back to the night when Daria mother was killed, after hiding her daughter in order to keep her safe.

Daria is then taken in by a porcupine. Who seems to raise her for the rest of her young life. As the movie goes on, we learn that this ghost wolf which all the packs seem to think is haunting this forest, is actually the ghost of Daria's mother, who drives anyone away who tries to harm her. Even after seeing that she's made it to adulthood, when her old pack finds out that she's still alive, they strive to murder her again, but are stopped thanks to Kate, and Humphrey, and Runt. Plus the ghost mom sucks up the wolves who try to get to Daria as well... Yeah. Twisted. But the plot, the writing, the fight scenes, the animation, everything and I mean everything was perfect. I loved it and will be watching it again very soon. (Maybe even tomorrow) I am happy to say that Alpha And Omega 4 is the best squeal from the series, and is just too good to pass up. Watch the movie. Mark my words, you'll love it and will know that is a fantastic movie. Because it really it. It really is.
