Delightful

Warning: Spoilers
I first watched Rick Stein back in the late 90s, and he has no difficulty engaging the audience with his delightful descriptions and asides.

Here Rick takes us to Mexico, and his friendly style and narrative makes us want to get on the first plane to Mexico and enjoy the treats.

Rick at his best

I've really come to enjoy Rick Stein's blend of travel, cooking and history. And he definitely got better at it with each series. This series and his travels from Venice to Istanbul are my favourites, although I quite like his long weekends too.

He's stopped dropping in on insufferable expats, doesn't sound like a coloniser abroad and keeps the banter with his film crew light and funny.

I don't mind his seafood cooking, but who can afford it? So a trip through Mexico with it's cheaper recipes appeals.

I collected quite a few (slightly tweaked) recipes from his shows, including a couple from this one. Thanks Rick.
