In my opinion this movie really deserves what it gets. It has enough dialogs, enough action - even if they are not absolutely original for that time, but they are combined in a way that everybody could watch and enjoy them altogether. And like some other movies (“Fight club”, for example) - it gave us a new hero - a shy white collar, which becomes the "king of the world" (as opposed to brutal heroes of the 90's).
