The David's. The best of Cronenberg and Lynch.

Cronenbergs first feature film. A solid effort that started the twisted sex thing turning.

A short film available on "The Short Films of David Lynch". In my opinion, the most telling film in the collection. The first real glimpse into the Lynchian Universe.

I love it. I love the story and Oliver Reed's performance.

The first of Lynch's Masterpieces. There is something very unsettling about this movie. Bit I won't bore anyone with a re hash of what has been said a 1000 times before. If you like it dark, see Eraserhead.

Truly not one of my favorite Cronenberg movies, I can't get past the terrible acting by the lead, But it did introduce the ultra violence by way of an exploding head. A quintessential Cronenberg device.

The straightest Lynch plays it until The Straight Story. Disturbing and beautiful in its own right.

Perverted, disturbing, ridiculous, and crudely philosophical. Sex and violence start to merge. Classic.

Talk about sex and violence merging. Frank Booth: Rapist, kidnapping, woman beating, gas snorting, mommy obsessed, velvet fetishist. There you go.

First time Cronenberg really gets to flex his flair for directing. This movie, although still gory enough, appeals to an audience beyond horror/sci/fi fans. Goldblum is great.

This movie proves my Nicholas Cage theory. Give him a straight role=terrible. Give him something insane to sink his crazy ass teeth into=brilliant. Humor, violence, sex, and the wizard of oz.

As much a triumph for Cronenberg as in is For Jeremy Irons. Great story telling, great acting. Eased up on the violence but twisted the heck out of the sexual content. Twin brother ob/gyn's toying with the emotions and body of an infertile, aging actress.

I had to go with the movie over the tv show solely because the show was off the air by the time I grew to appreciate David Lynch. Both are wacky and weird and certainly important when considering David Lynch's Catalog of work.

Awesome, trippy, odd, and very Cronenberg.

Ah, Lost Highway. Maybe my favorite. I've seen it a 1000 times. Probably see it a 1000 more. Please don't theorize about it, just shut up and watch it. Thank you.

MVA Fetishists. Do they really exist? Who cares. It's the perfect subject for Cronenberg to tackle. Saw this in London with a couple of fair weather movie fans. They didn't know what to make of it.

David Lynch plays it straight and tells a touching story.

A slightly softer edge from Cronenberg dealing with the schizophrenic mind.

I think that Lynch kind of took cues from himself with this one. The similarities in plot development between this and Lost Highway are very striking in my opinion. This Story seemed to almost satirize Hollywood though. Pretty great.

Cronenberg's exploration of the potential duality of man.

Again I think this was almost a progression on a theme for Lynch. Staying in Hollywood, Stepping out of the character driven story, and into the characters brain. difficult to make sense of. Again, don't think too hard, just watch it spill out in front of you.

Cronenberg teams up with Viggo Mortensen a second time to explore morality, family, violence, the duality of man, loyalty, love, and the Russian Mafia. Great on many levels.
