I originally pictured Rufus Sewell, but decided against him. I saw how Zach played the villian in Heroes, and thought it would be great here

Nynaeve al'Meara

It's funny that somehow, I only take bits and pieces of Anne to form my actual mental image of Nynaeve. I think I do that with alot of the characters actually.

Siuan Sanche, Servant of Salidar (former Amyrlin Seat)

Eva was firmly in my mind at this point as Siuan. Obviously stilled, she looks alot younger now. She also has striking eyes

Leanne Shariff, Servant of Salidar (former Keeper of Chronicles)

I think I was still struggling to picture Rosario Dawson, who is a fair choice. Just too short.

Moghedien (disguised as Marigan)

Although she isn't wearing her true face when we first see her, I'm not gonna re-cast just for a disguise (but I did with all of Lanfear's disguises. Oh well)

Elayne Trakand, Accepted of Salidar Aes Sedai & Daughter-Heir of Andor

I think for awhile, I was seeing a mix of Rosamund Pike and a few other ladies as Elayne, before I found Dianna

Birgitte Silverbow

Yeah, originally I didn't really picture anyone as Birgitte all the way through the final book, but I really like Katheryn now

Gareth Bryne, Commander of the Salidar Army

I remember when I first started picturing Russell in this role is when he bowed to the Salidar Aes Sedai in the last book. So by this point, he was stuck

Anaiya Sedai, Blue Ajah, Salidar

I remember when I read these books the first time, this is where all of the Aes Sedai stuff started becoming confusing b/c there were so many of them to keep track of. Picturing various actresses helps with that alot!

Janya Frende, Sitter for the Brown Ajah, Salidar

Described as "slender with short, dark hair. She is pretty except for her perpetual frown. She is unusually neat for one of the Brown Ajah." This is my first time casting this role (along with many other of the Aes Sedai probably) so we'll see how she fits...

Min Farshaw

Not sure what else I can say at this point about Min, except that I think I was finally seeing her as Emma by this point in the series. Maybe.

Faile ni Bashere t’Aybara

Part of the reason I like Olivia in this role comes from Perrin's description of her in how she gets angry with him, but she's still gorgeous. I imagine Olivia would still be beautiful no matter how much rage tried to contort her face...

Cenn Buie

Good ol' Cenn always steals the show when he shows up. Complaint after complaint, and I still like him for some reason...

Perrin Aybara

You know, at the time of this list, I realize that Henry is about 10 years too old to play Perrin, but oh well. He's the closest I've found to how I see him.

Aram,

Another that's too old, and I honestly don't picture him exactly like this, but close enough I guess

Tam al'Thor

He's the perfect actor for this role I think. Hard to picture him as anyone else

Gawyn Trakand

It's easy to picture him with red-gold curls.

Sevanna, Wise One (kinda) for the Shaido Aiel

I remember watching an episode of Heroes with her in it, and though she would be perfect for the way I picture Sevanna. Just needs a little more tan obviously

Therava, Wise One of the Shaido Aiel

I honestly struggled for awhile with this one, settled on casting Anjelica Houston without truly picturing her this way, and then remembered this lady from Batman Forever, and realized this was exactly how I pictured Therava upon first reading her description. So there!!!

Desaine, Wise One of the Shaido Aiel

Ok, so this is a very minor role, but I decided to fill it as something interesting happens later in the book...

Katerine Alruddin, Black Ajah

I never officially cast her the first time around, but I do think I pictured this lady after watching the first season of Once Upon a Time. She seems to fit the description fairly well

Coiren Saeldain, Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah

Another role I never cast, and I don't think I ever pictured until finding her for this list. We'll see if she fits...

Erian Boroleos, Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah

Too many Aes Sedai to cast. And most of them stick around for awhile, which is why I even bother to cast them. Shannon fits pretty well, just needs black hair instead of brown

Nesune Bihara, Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah

Nearly black eyes, dark hair, birdlike eyes (kinda). I'm going strictly on looks here b/c I don't know much about the actress actually

Galina Casban, Black Ajah

I remember seeing this on another list and just thought "why not?" So she was stuck after that. I guess it's the more round face that Minnie has that makes her fit ok

Morgase Trakand, Queen of Andor

For awhile I pictured Uma Thurman as Morgase, but Kim in her younger years was too perfect, so I changed her

Ailron, King of Amadicia (a.k.a. Whitecloak Puppet)

Just based on his description (somewhat handsome with a long nose and big ears; wavy dark hair receding), I thought of the Merovingian from the Matrix series. He's actually a minor character, despite being a king, so he's close enough

Martyn Tallanvor, Guardsman-Lieutenant to Queen Morgase

I believe this is the book where I started picturing him as Tallanvor. Maybe not during the prologue where he first shows up, but by the end of the book definitely

Basel Gill

I originally pictured Barliman Butterbur from the Fellowship of the Ring in this role, but changed it to Mr. Spall upon reread

Well, just watch Gladiator, and you'll see why I picked him for this role

I definitely stole this one from my go-to-casting-thievery list, but she seems to fit really well. She would also make a good Sorilea

Breane Taborwin

Not as old as the description, but otherwise she fits really well

Pedron Niall, Lord Captain Commander of the Children of the Light

I never cast Niall upon my initial read of the series, but I remembered this actor while rereading the 3rd book and I like him in this role

Sebban Balwer

I used to have him as Padan Fain, but since I recast that role, I'm able to transplant him here.

Jaichim Carridin

By this point, he's so ingrained that even if I ran across someone else that might fit better, I don't think I would be able to change him in my mind

Mesaana

I've run across some other excellent casting choices for Mesaana, but for now I'm sticking with Mrs. Connelly

Semirhage

I remember not being able to settle on anyone in this role for awhile, but then I thought it would be neat to picture Zoe as a sadistic evil person, and she's stuck now

Graendal

All she needs is a golden curly wig, and she's the absolute perfect Graendal. I can't imagine anyone else playing her

Aran’gar

For awhile, I used Sofia Vergara here, but it's hard not to picture her Mexican accent, and so I'm changing her. All Mrs. Brook needs is green eyes, and she's perfect

Osan'gar

Here's one where I'm changing out yet again. I originally used Adrien Brody, but he's too skinny I think. And I did see Mr. Spacey on another list and thought he'd be a perfect replacement

Rand al'Thor, The Dragon Reborn

After going through the entire prologue without him, we FINALLY get to see what Rand is up to. And about Eddie, just like with Nynaeve, I think I take different parts of him to form my mental image of Rand, b/c he's not exactly like Eddie, but similar.

Sulin, Maiden of the Spear of the Goshien Aiel

I know she's WAY too young for Sulin, but upon my first read when I read Sulin's description, I thought of Switch from The Matrix. So now, instead of recasting, I just think of Belinda as she would look much older. And it works for my mental image of Sulin. Of course, casting a series, she would need to be recast. Oh well...

Arymilla Marne, High Lady of Andor

During my first read, I had HBC cast as Moghedien. But for some reason I wanted to change her. And HBC has the sort of plumply beautiful look that is described for Arymilla, so I put her here.

Elenia Sarand, Lady of Andor

She kinda has a fox-like or vulpine face, and honey blonde hair. She'll do

Jarid Sarand, Lord of Andor

I needed a square-faced dark person to fit the description, and he's close enough...

Naean Arawn, Lady of Andor

Dark hair, blue eyes, paley beautiful. She'll do as I don't know much about her...

Nasin Caeren, Lord of Andor

I believe he's the guy I originally pictured. Mabye not quite "bony" enough though...

Davram Bashere, Lord General of Saldea

Again, he's way too tall, but every other aspect is a good fit.

Somara, Maiden of the Spear of the Bent Peak Daryne Aiel

I only just cast her while making the list for book 5, and she seems to fit really well

Lews Therin Telamon

Even though we don't actually "see" him, Rand is now actively hearing him in his head, and therefore I'm casting him b/c of his voice. Good enough

Mazrim Taim

My original pick was actually nobody, and then I decided to cast Christian Bale for some reason, but he doesn't really fit the description. Then I checked my go-to-thievery list, and I stole yet another casting. He's MUCH better
