My 6 is given for a fond memory.

I'm only here to say that I adored Trisha Townsend. The evening the episode appeared, my TV was on, with the VCR ready, but hey, I wasn't interested in CHiPs, there was a journal program before it that I monitored for music videos and glam inserts. Then, as this episode progressed, I saw this beautiful oh-so-pretty chicksie on the motorbike. She was, like, darling. But it was too late to start recording. I basically kicked myself inwardly. I fumed and fumed. I thought, how to still get this? Maybe somebody else recorded it? Nobody I knew had any interest in CHiPs. Then I had a bright idea. I went out and posted a notice at a secondary school, I think it was early in the evening, it was the old days, no locked gates. {that place is a military compound now} A simple reward notice. With my phone number. Turns out, the next day, I got a call. Kid recorded it. But big problem, I couldn't buy the tape. Kid's Dad is the owner of the tape. And there's a whopping big rugby match recorded on it, I guess the favored team had won, and it was the guy's proud possession.

Shucks. I tried negotiating, with blonde bird in my mind calling out to me. No go. You could borrow the tape, that is all. They knew I was trustworthy, because the guy must have known my Dad. So I had to live up to expectations. Bummer. Actually, I have waylaid other people's property before in the name of ownership of VHS- recordings. I'm a scoundrel when it comes to film. :) But this was a rugby fanatic. A team- spirited rugby fanatic. Stupid story about "the dog having ate the tape" here's compensation, not gonna work.

Borrowed. Settled for a copy made. It was VCR to VCR using RCA plugs and looked inferior. You could see the lovely girl, but it was an inferior consolation prize.

No other phone calls.

Returned tape glumly.

Years later, I have this large collection of glamour girls on DVD, but CHiPs, for one episode? No way.

{I didn't even know which episode. Moreover, which season. I didn't know the actress's name. Confusion existed with me for decades re Susan Severeid, and I posted a review for "Sharks" earlier this year which only just a little while ago got contested by a_dude_named_dude urging me to delete it, and directing me to the proper episode, "Ponch's Angels" Part 1, and now I know her name, Trisha Townsend, and it's season 4, so wheels might start turning, but dammit, a motorcycle cop show!!!}

Okay, if you have snickered your way through this, of course this remains a shoddy review. But all I can say is that after all these years, must be almost 25 years ago that I saw it aired in South Africa, I still vividly recall how cute that girl was. And, to outsiders, no, no hot bikini scene. (that's contemporary episode "Sharks" with Susan Severeid) She wore a neat uniform. She was just very, very cute, super innocent, wow!

So, if you are thinking about whether to watch this or not, do it for my sake. Wish I could have joined you.
