Left Behind (I) (2014)
10/10
Favorite Left Behind movie to date
3 August 2023
Really feel a sense of dread and anxiety of not knowing what is coming next as the end credits roll and you hear the song "I wish We all Been Ready". The way the movie built itself up to that moment and end credit and how the main characters were fleshed out and the quality of the cinematography has made this my new favorite over the older Left Behind movie. Placing the brunt of the story in a plane also makes it feel more realistic. I am disappointed to see so many negative reviews that I had to add this today.

Therefore I would recommend this because these are the last days and its important to watch good movies like this.

Prank Encounters: Mist Demeanor (2021)
Season 2, Episode 5
10/10
This episode stood out with me
14 April 2021
Normally I don't write reviews, and in particular, reviews of reality-tv shows on a specific episode. However, of all the episodes I've watched this season, this particular one stands out as my favorite episode.

The woman on here who is the subject really had a presence and reaction on here that I'd like to see it again, plus the story-line behind the prank is an interesting sci-fi narrative that's not as creepy as the other episodes.

Fulfilled what UFO hunters failed to do - most comprehensive treatment of subject!
14 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The intriguing aspects of this ranch, such as the Mesa glowing in the dark, beams of radiation at some point in the sky a mile up that causes instrumentation on weather balloons to malfunction, and orbs showing up causing cows to start behaving funny and evening dying out of shock, and potentially a Roswell UFO buried into the ground, are all just bind-blowing aspects.

Its something that just has to be seen.

My suggestions on such a show is they should have had an infrared camera along with their equipment so they could detect anomalies that might not be present with visual light. Some UFOs, orbs, have been spotted eerily on the infrared spectrum. It would have been interesting, to have taken a camera and pointed it upwards at the sky where the source of the radiation was coming from, rather than send a bunch of balloons and rockets.

The scientists in the show should all be wearing Hazmat suits. If they could afford most of their expenses to set-up such a large-scale operation, and they know there are radiation anomalies where someone got their skull separated from their scalp, then wouldn't the logical thing to do is make everyone wear a Hazmat suit? You then take care of the radiation problem.

I just think for all of the money probably spent on this, that an infrared camera set-up to take live-feed and a Hazmat suit for everyone, should have been included. Something about the show feels a bit unsound without those checkmarks, like they didn't think of everything enough to take it up a level.

But...this show blew my mind. Almost like a reality show version of an X-files movie.

Re-watchable as a series - loved the ending
10 September 2019
I re-watched this a second time and I really like the end credit song from Iron and Wine (The Trapeze Swinger) as it flashed back other aspect of the movie leading to the actual end of the movie and it seemed like a nice ending.

Julia Roberts and Stephan James had excellent chemistry, and the creative switching of aspect ratios to 1:1, 1.85:1, 2.4:1 also just made it more of a joy to watch. The only issue is that it's just too long and could have been a feature length film.

Heartwarming TV-series
13 January 2019
Enjoyed watching the TV-series from Amazon Prime and it felt like a nice movie. The play of aspect ratio, cinematography and music was really nice and brought you into the moment with the way it was directed. The chemistry of the cast was amazing and felt authentic and it ended at a beautiful high note. The sacrifice of love that Julia/Heidy made and the road-trip aspect really hit me on a deep way. You have to be really emotionally perceptive to get the richness of that story. Would like to re-watch this again. There was also good acting by Shea Wingham. I can see why this was nominated for best drama.

Season 3 killed it for me
22 December 2018
After watching season 3 in Amazon, I have come to a conclusion, that the last episode on the whole series, was the only one that made sense and was worth my time. If I just watched that single episode, and left it to the imagination how certain things unfolded to get to that stage, that would have felt better than having watched through 9 episodes to watch this one. The other 9 episodes felt unnecessary and I didn't connect at all with any of the characters and as others have said, the whole story felt convoluted and meandering all over the place.

If they have a 4th series for this, I'd be interested to see where it goes. The first two series I'd say was great and even re-watchable. There may have been some pacing issues on the first season, but it's still re-watchable. In season 3, only the last episode is re-watchable. By the time I came to this episode I was like "I want to get this over with and watch this to finish this since I went this far to get to this point" rather than, "I'm binge-watching this whole thing and can't wait to see what happens next".

Kid version of the Stargate Atlantis - type episodes
21 August 2018
While Stargate may be a fundamentally different series than this one, somehow, this show reminded me of that in principle. Someone gets stranded somewhere and they have to use their wits and alien technology to see them through. The casting was perfect.

The villainess, Parker Posey as Dr. Zachery and her relationship with the boy, Maxwell Jenkins as William Robinson was just phenomenal. The overall chemistry of the cast was perfect and the acting and performance was just smooth. The pacing of the series was just right. It's almost like a long-movie with the last few episodes really being intense.

There is a great mix of races represented. Taylor Russel as Judy Robins also put in a lovely performance. I thought Mina Sundwall as Penny Robinson, as a pre-teen/teen was amazing and she had some sub-plots that really made her shine as a "girl next door" in the family.

So, I'm giving this allot of leeway on the overall cast of the series because to me it is what gives it "soul", and connect with the plight of the characters overall. The C.G.I was also fun and was very immersive to the type of world they were portraying on there.

Spellbinding documentary
25 April 2012
The musical scores used in the background along with some of the archaeological sites creates a sort of magic that keeps me coming back to look at this documentary over and over again. The passion and diction of John Romer inspires the imagination and you really do get unique insights as your journey, with John Romer, through the sites.

A definite must-see if you ever have listed Istanbul, Turkey, on your bucket list of cities to see because I don't think you'll capture the depth of the sites as it's portrayed in the movie. A tourist guide wouldn't go into that much detail.

What would be an interesting trip would be go to Venice, Italy to see the Byzantine treasures, visit Rome and then go to Istanbul, Turkey or include these sites in an eastern Mediterranian tour after being primed by this documentary.

Even if you don't end up travelling, you won't see that part of the world the same way.

The Lazarus Phenomenon (2006 Video)
Confused as to scriptural validity.
5 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This movie has left me feeling more confused at understanding how the judgment seat of Christ works and the great white throne judgment. It seems as though people are arbitrarily assigned based on a general thread of their life but there is no judgment process that is alluded to in the Bible.

In the first account, this preacher was judged by an angel, not by Jesus Christ. Since when do angels judge saints and send them to hell in the Bible? I thought it was the other way around. In 1 Corinthians 6:3 it says the saints judge angels.

Here a preacher failed to forgive his wife and had a vengeful spirit and because of this he would have gone to hell. The Bible does have a just expectation that Christians should forgive others as Christ has forgiven us and ALL Christian faiths, including Roman Catholics will teach this.

On the second example, a man received Christ on his death-bed with the weakest sinner's prayer I've ever heard (i.e. God, if you exist, forgive me) and he went to heaven.

They must have picked two very interesting examples. It seems this video is more geared to people who profess they are Christians and believe they have fire-insurance or unconditional security. Especially since the pastor's account was more detailed and had more information and everyone would be shocked to see he didn't make it.

The message is that holding unforgivenss to another person if you are saved (or believe you are saved) is worst than living a life of sin and then receiving Christ on your death-bed. You may as well be a heathen to God if you harbour unforgivness to anyone.

Taken the wrong way (apart from the video's intent), one could almost feel there is a license to sin, as long as you hold no unforgiveness against anyone else and ask God to forgive you just before you die, or could discourage someone from living for Christ since you are missing out from the world and may go to hell anyway if you have a heart-sin.

While it seems like a well meaning presentation, there are just too many loose ends made on it.

Do not mess with an intelligent guy.
12 November 2009
I identified with Clyde, because I self-represented myself in court during a civil proceeding and was fighting against lawyers and spouting precedents and legal to make my case. Clyde also had me laughing like crazy during the whole movie because he was making a clever mockery of the justice system. It's the craftiness and meticolous attention to detail, with his statements to Foxx that had me cracking in my seat. With me, this movie had a dark humour about it where Clyde was just menacing throughout the whole movie and playing everyone there for a fool.

If you are into dark humour movie that makes a mockery of the justice system with one law-abiding man that loses it then watch it.

Apart from this aspect, I found some major holes in terms of realism or believability, but overall, it's the funniest dark humour movies I've seen. The part with the judge scene, where he first fights against bail, then blasts the judge for giving him bail, and then he is denied bail and held in contempt of court -- cracked me up. Other funny scenes include plea-bargains for ridiculous demands by Clyde that just make you laugh.

If you like this sort of film, there is another movie called "The Interview" and it stars Hugo Weaving that sort of has that same cat and mouse game where the accused is making a mockery of the prosecution by admitting to a murder then explaining it away and using technicalities.

Knowing (2009)

Movie sounds like the Dresden code doomsday prediction.
4 April 2009
The theme of the movie appears haunting analogous to the Dresden codex from the Mayan civilization. This code made between 1200 to 1250 BC appears to have various astrological predictions of various eclipses and other events that will be occurring. One notable even was a solar eclipse in July 1991 that was predicted accurately.

However, there was one weird aspect of this prediction. It was stated that a "meeting of the brethren" would be occurring on that date. On Mexico, where this eclipse occurred there was a number of UFO sitings recorded on video and observed by many eye witnesses.

This same codex has an end date of December 12, 2012. Mausumi Dikpaki, of the National Centre of Atmospheric Research (can be googled) suggests that a solar storm will occur on that year that's stronger than any other solar storms in history. Sun activity is now actually lower than usual, which she calls the eye of the storm. She predicts a 30-50% stronger solar storm than ever before. This means there is a possibility that a strong solar storm could really occur around that time as predicted by that codex.

If you were to take analogy with the movie's motif, such as the numbers on the paper in a time-capsule predicting events of the future and compare it to this codex, you add the UFO alien element, as with the 1991 solar eclipse seen over Mexico as validating the authority of predictions of this codex. Then the movie takes on a more haunting and scary tone.

The aliens in the movie are actually "Nordics". They are tall, blondish human looking people that are commonly seen in Europe. If you take all these sort of elements and make a creative work of fiction -- then you have something like this movie "Knowing".

I actually appreciated the theme of the movie and it's inspiration for me to do this private research from a tip I got watching "Mexico Roswell" from UFO files last year and looking more deeply into the Dresden codex leading into a deeply rich intellectual experience.

After doing the research, this is a brilliant fictional story, taking mythological beliefs and stories and making some sort of compilation. If you are well versed in this sort of stuff, this movie will freak you out, guaranteed. Not because of the cheesy acting through, but more what it represents.

Blindness (2008)

A reality break from the rat-race -- society going blind.
17 March 2009
This one gets a 10 out of 10. The very title and premise of this movie was intriguing to me. While we are caught up in the rat race. Wondering how to pay the bills, make the next dollar, worrying about recession, etc... what happens if we all suddenly just go blind. It is true that some of the most basic things that we take for granted that we should be thankful for -- gets lost in a rat-race called life. I knew I would enjoy the very premise of this movie as it shows that depth of how a first world country can go if one of the most basic gifts of sight were deprived. It wouldn't take a very long time for things to become anarchic.

I've been reading through all the comments because I didn't want to say something that wasn't said before. However, I want to defend this movie against some criticisms.

First of all, people are saying that Julian Moore's character waited a bit too late to use her weapon or do something. I think that this actually makes the movie more realistic and is a strength. A character that has never killed before, and is killing for the first time has to be taken beyond a breaking-point in order to cross that boundary. This makes sense with me and I do not understand why people are criticizing this element.

Second complaint common is demanding of goods or valuables if the place is already quarantined. I defend this movie in this respect because I think that to be appreciated, you have to give it latitude by trying to connect with it's overall message, even if it may be metaphorical at the expense of realism. You cant take a movie like this too literal -- you simply have to understand what it is saying -- which is the downward spiral when the rules of society collapse -- and learning to be thankful for some of the things that get lost that's really important in the rat-race we are all called up in.

Thirdly, the complaints of the gore, violence, and rape -- it was rated a restricted movie -- you are viewing at your own risk.

This movie has touched me and I'm glad that I have rented. If for not anything else, but at least helping me to see life beyond the rat-race that we are all glued to and imagining what could happen if one of the most precious gifts that we are all blessed with -- that of vision -- were deprived of everyone for just a length of time what would happen.

THAT -- in itself has got me thinking. There is no higher rating than 10/10 -- so that's the best I can do. I feel happy that something woke me out of the rat-race and see the blue sky -- it was this movie.

Have to watch movie more than once for it to click.
29 January 2009
The movie itself at first, appeared to be difficult to understand and follow through until you've passed the first 30 minutes of the movie. Eventually, it finally clicked and when it did, I had to view it again from the beginning to appreciate the movie.

I feel that you have to look at the gritty details of the story line, such as how Sandi is related to what happened, what competing dealer is working with Colin Farel, and you really have to connect the dots to enjoy the movie. Watching it the first time you won't be able to do this. But once you get to understand the interrelationship with the various characters in the movie, then it's brilliant.

I rate it a 7/10 because of the excessive swearing. I know that cops or guys are portrayed as f-bombing as a part of normal conversation, but I didn't think this was really necessary -- however looking through it, I think it's a brilliant movie with various stories that are interwoven together and different conflicting relationships within the main characters and would recommend it.

What a waste of money and time.
1 January 2009
I knew this movie was a straight to DVD movie when I first saw it. The camera shots were obviously amateurish and it looked like a home-made video changed to DVD.

It seems I have to look at this board again, next time, before I rent a DVD. It's just another cliché action movie with an incoherent plot and even if you take your brain off it still delivers far short.

This teaches me one lesson. Before renting a DVD, stop by 'Internet Movie' database first before wasting your money renting a B, or Z quality movie.

I rate it three stars because in all honesty, I did see the movie from beginning to end, and was hooked to see what is going on -- but it still felt that I was looking at garbage quality material and felt like I just wasted my time.

Cube Zero (2004)
10/10
Cube Zero, reminiscent of Room 101 in George Orwell's 1984.
21 October 2007
I'm trying to determine whether this is really a psychological thriller or a political one. To me it seems a bit of both. This particular cube has elements of a totalitarian government of some form or some secret service in a democratic country (in name only) that goes after people during the night. Rather than some sort of abstract concept portrayed in the first cube, this one sounds like some sort of evil experiment that you hear about in some countries that occurred during the world wars, like Japan or Nazi Germany, where people who were enemies of the state were subjected to unethical and brutal experiments for scientific purposes. This particular slant really changes it's tone from the other two cube movies since you can connect it to this world, and say, well, this thing could exist in some sort of futuristic totalitarian government that's doing evil experiments with people in concentration camps or something. We know the Nazis had pretty elaborate death camps - this pretty much seems like a modified Nazi death camp in a world that's ahead of this time - which is what sets it's tone apart from the other cubes - almost to the point of inconsistency.

The First Cube, for example, was a headless blunder operating under the illusion of control, while this Cube here appears like a deliberate death-camp of some mad totalitarian government that's extracting false confessions from political prisoners before putting them into these death-traps. The Hypercube by contrast - is too much fantasy to be taken seriously and doesn't pose much of a philosophical argument like these other cubes have.

Therefore, if you are into political and psychological thrillers with a science fiction twist - this gets a 10/10 rating from me.

Cube (1997)

I'm a cult fan of this movie - it's really wins heads up....
21 October 2007
Acting performances and character interaction is what made this movie really unique. I'm still reviewing it over seeing some particular sequences. For example, the part where Quinton says 'Woman, I'm tired mopping up after your bleeding heart...." and then they both start berating each other in a slew of personal attacks is just hilarious, I was almost wondering if this was a comic relief element to the movie. And the 'system' aspect to it when Worth is describing what the function of the cube is, like a some sort of massive project without a purpose that you need people to be stuck into it, is also something that I really enjoy reviewing over and over again. I like the dialog and scripts it's what really sets the whole tone. I liked Hollowways's character. Apart from that it's pretty much of a hollow movie - I've seen Hypercube and Cube Zero, and think in terms of acting and dialog this one is the best and sequels distract from the acting performance.

More like an "Outer Limits" type movie.
20 October 2007
I'm a bit of a cube fan so in that sense, I'm going to like this movie. However, I think it's way too 'sci-fi' to be taken seriously and as a result it becomes more like a 'Twilight-Zone / Outer Limits" type movie rather and is so far out that you cant really take anything seriously in this whole movie. But it does have great cgi special effects and overall was one weird movie that's a good view through. Definitely would be recommended for cube fans. However, I still think it's not as philosophically charged or doesn't have the same depth of quality of themes that the other cube movies have and think this is just a bit superficial. For example, the original cube raises philosophical issues of the cube as a function of something that exists without a purpose and that people in there are filling that sort of vacuum. The Cube Zero raises the issues of "Milgram's experiment" with the authoritian context and those who observe becoming the observed - this one seems a bit more hollow in that regard and seems more bent to just please the sences in quantum fantasy - the characters do not seem very believable either and just seemed rather contrived rather.

Thus, I have to give this five stars out of ten, I think at best, this is a good 'Outer Limits / Twilight Zone" type movie rather than a thriller.

waste of money renting this garbage
15 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This has been one of the worst biblical adaptation movies I have ever seen, if not the worst. If you are a serious believer and looking to build a spiritual library out of 'visual bible' DVD components, then look away from this DVD. As other posters have said (and I now have to consider coming on here before I waste money on movies) this movie is not actually based on the bible - some scenes are really added on that don't belong there.

  • example, Moses killing an Egytpian because he was going to rape someone's wife, and then that same husband committing adultery and murdering the woman's husband...is not found in the bible.

They essentially make their own movie that has no relationship to accurate historical biblical accounts. I'm going to make a mental note of the director/producer and will avoid renting or viewing any other movies from them that are biblically based. What a heresy.

Divine.
15 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I was moved to tears when I saw the actual holy nativity scene accompanied by the angelic music score and the build-up of the movie to that one scene had me involved connected with the characters and momentum of the movie. Another facet is Joseph doubting Mary's purity when having the child and the way that part was acted out, you could put yourself into Mary and how she would handle people believing what she was saying was true. The idea of Mary not being initially attracted to Joseph in an arranged marriage is also an interesting idea on it - this movie manages to see this relationship grow as they are both challenged to trust each other with the birth of this child and the work of God, and I think it's a powerful concept that is especially enhanced with this movie. The tests of faith would seem to build and strengthen the relationship between Mary and Joseph. The exchange between Mary and Elizabeth feeling each other's babies in the movie is also memorable. Get's 10 out of 10 in my books.

Discourages people to go on sex tours.
5 November 2006
I think this movie presents a good argument against going on a hedonistic sex tour on a few different fronts: 1) If you go on a hedonistic sex tour, and pay money to bang babes, then equally some sadist may pay money to torture and kill you. The fact is, when an institution is sick or evil, you could also be a victim. The very concept of the sex tour is that a woman is a commodity that can be purchased - but there is no limit on what can be commidified as long as there is a market for it.

2) Second of all, suppose you start getting becoming a more depraved and sick human afterwards. A character that was during the torturing to an Asian woman apparently went on lots of sex tours, and wanted bigger highs and thrills and eventually ended up doing that. It's like some sort of progression. Starts with a hedonistic sex tour with normal women, then more depravity, it goes to sex with children, more depravity, it comes to snuff, more depravity, torture and killing, etc....

As a young virgin guy, I identified with the characters wanting to get laid in Europe, and sure, that's a guy thing. I really identified with them and was totally sympathetic. Although they wanted to get laid, they never hurt or tortured anyone and could never have deserved that.

The movie has a stead progression from an American pie movie, to a horror movie to a revenge movie and had a nice tone to it - but the problem with the movie is that it is just too evil - I felt like paying to watch a movie like that seems sick. It's a sick movie, but it has raised some points.

If anyone ever thinks of going to Thialand, Costa Rica, or any sex-tour places to explore hedonistic pleasure - then in the back of my mind there could be some evil lurking.

Another aspect is that normal types of people can just be diabolical evil monsters. You don't know what people would do if they had no limitations. Super rich people can buy themselves out of anything, and the movie potentially taints rich people as potentially being sadistic monsters that pay to break the law in third world countries where anything can be bought.

Best fantasy movie that I've seen.
2 August 2006
If you like movies that leave you thinking while having unique plot elements, and are just plain 'weird' then this is a perfect move. In a nutshell, it's a story about people having a purpose, and is told in a very creative way. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of this movie and thought it was a welcome change to all the clichéd movies that are ditched out.

I like all of M. Night S... movies because he has a unique style of directing, and I only saw this movie because his name was on it as director, so I knew it had to be good, and he has lived up to my expectations of weirdness. I just love weird movies that keep you guessing about what is going on, and I was thoroughly impressed by the weirdness of this movie. If you like weird movies that are in fantasy with funny legends on it, then this is the deal.

Too long and drawn out.
8 May 2006
If you are a born-again Christian, then it's not a good movie to see as, as in the Prime movie, the name of our Lord is taken in vain too many times, spoiling the movie. I don't know what problems these Jewish directors have and if this is intentional or what.

That being said, I've watched this movie a few times, as the DVD has commentary features with the director, and with the two actors, which helped me to understand the movie a bit more. I thought it a bit on the boring side, it's long, drawn out, and not at the very least funny.

It has some eye-candy and flesh scenes in it, in the beginning, and attractive actresses if you dig it, but, it was not that much of a funny film.

However, the premise, of Crashing Weddings, or Funerals to pick up girls, is what compelled me to rent the movie, and to give it a serious look. The idea of crashing weddings is also seen on 'askmen' website, where it goes into further dealing. Conceptually, it's brilliant, but it still seemed too phoney.

The director claims to have gone at lenghts to make this movie believable and not lose the audience, and I think it's sort of strained by using high-profile actors. However, on the other hand, the improvisions, and contributions to the actors to the movie, were superb, but come on - if famous Hollywood actors crashed a normal wedding - is that going to be believable? Honestly, Hollywood Actor such as Owen and Vince will have no problems picking up girls at weddings, funerals, or on a street corner, I wish I had their problem. Looking at them just makes me feel worst about my own luck picking up girls.

Nice thriller.
8 May 2006
Having seen this movie three times over, I would have to say that I really enjoyed the interplay with the two lead characters Rachael McAdams, and the other guy. Rachael has been already rated as one of the sexiest actresses, and she seemed to have great chemistry with the antagonist. The musical scores were brilliant.

The best thing I liked about this movie is the way the plot progressed when they were both on the airplane and how the guy would calmly tell her, that he is doing his job, and start freaking out Lisa with the revelation of who he is, and that her father is in danger. This is not a spoiler, as this was seen in the movie trailers, and is understood to be the premise of the movie. So that whole interplay, where the good guy is tranformed to a rotten bad buy transforming this into a 'Phone Booth' really made the film.

The director's commentary suggests that the 'eye-play' between the lead characters, or what is not spoken, is about the strength of the drama, and I found the facial expressions seemed to come across as real. So, the musical score, chemistry of actors/actresses, and the overall premise of the movie, and the 'feel' makes me give it an 8/10 rating.

Despite the lower ratings, the movie had a viscerial type of feel to it, it wasn't too long, and was paced right, so you leave the movie with a feeling of experience that you went someplace, and in essence, that is the most important aspect of a movie with me.

Jewish film bashing Christianity.
21 December 2005
As a Christian watching this movie, I was offended by the amount of times that "Jesus Christ" was brought up in the movie. It wasn't just once, but like over three + times. I just left the there after the third mention.

Essentially, this is supposed to be some romantic comedy premised on a therapy patient dating the therapist's son, as we all know. The Chemistry of the actors/actresses seemed to come across alright, with the mother's role.

However, as a Jewish movie, seemingly deliberately putting "Jesus Christ" one too many times, and in very bad scenes, I have taken offense and would not recommend this movie to any Christian. Again, people will not say "Allah", "Buddha", or "Yahweh", or even take up a prophets name, and here again they have to bash my Lord and Savior by saying HIs name in vain. Pre-maritial sex is also paraded in this movie. It is disgusting.

I was ripped off and truly regret watching this movie, and hopefully movie directors will have a sense of decency in the future not to go on bashing other people's religions on the cinema. I feel sorry for all the Christians who wasted their money on this garbage.

Shy character wins out in movie.
25 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Despite all the nasty reviews of what I concede, is a stupid teen film, there are inherent lessons to be gleaned from the movie. The fact is, casual sex does not necessarily make people happy, or you will lose the right woman you really like if you engage in reckless casual sex. What wins out at the end of the day is love, and connecting with someone above a booty call.

It happens that one of the shy characters did not go on to have wanton casual sex, but you sort of sympathized with him for some reason because you could see that he was really trying. He never drank alcohol, and seemed that he was not connecting with the ladies at the beginning of the trip, while other guys were having casual sex left, right, and center. At the end of the movie, this is one of the only cast that has expressed absolutely no regrets about the trip.

He eventually hooked up with a meaningful relationship, and seemed to get more meaning with opposite sex interactions then his other wild counterparts. Incidentally, he did not have sex with anyone in the movie. In other words, this movie shows, that having a relationship with someone, without sex, is something much richer and fulfilling than just wild casual sex and booty calls. It also shows that the shy guys does have a chance to score on girls in the right environment. So, all shy guys out there, do not give up hope, the right girl is waiting for you somewhere.

Now, the reason for this low rating is first of all, it is not a reality movie, as it was supposed to be. It is full of junk. If I did not get that one ounce of meaning from the movie, I would have to conclude the movie has no merits. I believe, that lesson I gleaned from the movie, was not intended, and probably I read into the movie further than I should have and inflating the worth of what is inherently pop culture garbage. So, I give it three stars, which I think is fair.
