Votes: 374,498 | Gross: $27.11M

Took me forever to finally get to see it but it was well worth the wait and the three hours or so length. Ben Whishaw, Halle Berry and Tom Hanks all provide powerhouse performances. Susan Sarandon was a WELCOME sight. :)

2. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006)

Director: Tom Tykwer | Stars: Ben Whishaw, Dustin Hoffman, Alan Rickman, Francesc Albiol

Votes: 265,899 | Gross: $2.22M

Ben Whishaw is eerie and brilliant as Jean-Baptiste Grenouille! Every move, every inhale...he's such a wonder to watch and by the end of the movie, you're rooting for him even though he's done some unspeakable acts. I keep thinking about this movie a lot. Wished I had watched it back in 2006, when it was available at the Movie gallery I worked out. I would have known of Ben's talent long ago had I watched this then.

Votes: 6,578 | Gross: $0.02M

Very touching movie. The actors are brilliant! (Ben Whishaw always is...) Andrew Leung, though his role was smaller, was great. It's so emotional and I love that about it.

One of my most favorite movies of all time. Quentin's a genius. Uma's acting, John's acting...everyone's freaking acting was great. This is how movies should be.

Touching movie filled with various emotions. You'll feel for Sayuri throughout the tale and you'll want to slap Hatsumomo with bodily fluids just like the house mother!!! Brilliant film. :)

Director: Paul McGuigan | Stars: Camilla Belle, Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans, Colin Ford

Votes: 115,605 | Gross: $31.81M

The Chinese backdrop of this movie adds a lot to it for me. The characters are all amazing (including the healing chick who smokes cigarettes). Chris Evans, Ming Na and Dakota Fanning were all believable and brilliant. I've always had a liking for people born with super powers and Push offers up a fresh, new perspective on this genre. It really deserves a sequel!!!!

10. Penelope (2006)

Votes: 66,244 | Gross: $10.01M

Fantastic fairy tale for a new age. The colors in this film are amazing. The acting was really good! (James McAvoy has set a standard for me with this and X-Men First Class! Cristina Ricci has always been wonderful.) You've got to see this movie if you have not.

11. X: First Class (2011)

PG-13 | 131 min | Action, Sci-Fi

65 Metascore

In the 1960s, superpowered humans Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr work together to find others like them, but Erik's vengeful pursuit of an ambitious mutant who ruined his life causes a schism to divide them.

Director: Matthew Vaughn | Stars: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon

Votes: 724,072 | Gross: $146.41M

The best X-Men movie made so far. The addition of Emma Frost (played by January Jones) to the mutant roster added a bit of interest to the movie as she's one of my favorite X-Men characters. The acting was amazing and the character roster was awesome.

Aliens with conical crania crash-land on Earth.

Director: Steve Barron | Stars: Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Robert Knott, Jonathan Penner

Votes: 58,015 | Gross: $21.27M

This movie has a lot of memories tied to it for me. It's one of the earliest movies I remember watching and I watched it because my Mom is a fan of SNL and she wanted us to see it. As a kid, it wasn't as funny to me as it is now but with my child eyes, I fell in love with the SCI FI feel of the movie. It's hilarious and memorable. (Where'd Michelle Burke go!?)

13. Stardust (2007)

Votes: 285,357 | Gross: $38.63M

Michelle is the perfect villainess and Claire Danes is a loveable Star. The main guy, who's name escapes me at this moment, was handsome, loveable and memorable. The film has comedy, excitement and a lot of fairy tale fun. It's a must-see for fantasy lovers.

14. Hannibal Rising (2007)

Director: Peter Webber | Stars: Gaspard Ulliel, Rhys Ifans, Gong Li, Aaran Thomas

Votes: 115,931 | Gross: $27.67M

The acting done by Rhys Ifans, Gaspard Uliel and Gong Li was fantastic. I felt all of the emotion of this movie and loved the imagery, especially the winter scene at Gong Li's home. Gorgeous film as far as locations and sets go. Gaspard added a strange and sensual touch to his slayings that, at least for me, wasn't present in the Hannibal movies starring Anthony Hopkins. Perfection!

15. The Great Gatsby (2013)

Votes: 597,292 | Gross: $144.84M

Amazing spectacle of a movie. Soundtrack was a delight. THe cast was fabulous. Elizabeth Debicki was my hands-down fave as Jordan Baker. Best quote in the film: "All of the bright, precious things fade fast and they never come back." Which was not a quote in the book. FABULOUS. GO SEE IT.

Votes: 100,050 | Gross: $1.32M

Loved the plot, the cinematics, the cast, the acting, that saw music scene.... This movie was so good. It was really touching at times. It and Melancholia, to me, are super different. Each ends differently, one better than the other for the characters.... I don't think they compare. Both are amazing.

17. Melancholia (2011)

R | 135 min | Drama, Sci-Fi

81 Metascore

Two sisters find their already strained relationship challenged as a mysterious new planet threatens to collide with Earth.

Director: Lars von Trier | Stars: Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgård

Votes: 196,025 | Gross: $3.03M

I watched this once and laughed. I couldn't get into the slow moving story. I thought it was a bit weird but I liked the acting. I watched it again and I fell in love with it. The gorgeous scenes of the planet, the feeling of impending doom at times, Charlotte and Kirsten's fantastic acting... It is a slow-starting movie but it is well worth the wait. That last scene was intense.

18. Donnie Darko (2001)

Votes: 850,463 | Gross: $1.48M

I love the way Jake portrays the title character and the way the movie pulls my emotions. Excellent cast. The ending is far from how I'd wanted the movie to end but I loved it nevertheless. Heart-wrenching end, to be truthful.

19. Thelma & Louise (1991)

Susan and Geena both delivery top notch performances in this classic film.
