To me this isn't really a military movie, but it does have center around being in the Army. As a fan of Goldie Hawn I enjoy Private Judy Benjamin almost as much today as I did when I saw it in the theater in 1980. Judy was a spoiled rich girl who after her husband dies on their wedding. Judy goes to an Army recruiting office, which is my favorite seen in the movie, but unfortunately Judy's recruiter is the only military recruiter that has ever told a lie. She wants to quit the Army but only stays to prove her parents that she can be independent.
