Intense driven episode
Dannyboi9419 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
House of the Dragon has been amazing so far, it has been far better than I was expecting. Episode 5 was the most intense episode yet. It has everything that made the original show amazing - suspense. The final 20 minuets or so had me sitting straight up, waiting for something crazy to happen.

Clare Kilner has done a brillant job at directing this episode, from the way it's shot, edited and paced. It's the only episode that hasn't had a time jump, as it appears we continue right from ep4. Ep5 sets up the next 5 eps amazingly. It's a shame that this episode may be the last we see of Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as younger versions of their characters. Milly has been brilliant and she deserves several awards for her performance.

This episode has been in my opinion the best episode so far. This is what Game of Thrones is - scheming, tense and bloody. And to think we are only half way through and stilll have many more seasons to go. It will be hard to top the original show, since it was one of a kind, but if this series keeps up with this quality of writing, we will have a series that will do what Better Call Saul did for Breaking Bad - improve on it's original.

The Green Wedding
lord3mmar19 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As we've used to see on Game of Thrones: NO HAPPY WEDDINGS !!! I think this is the best episode so far. In the first half hour we started with the relationships between the characters and the intense that they would make later. And I can assure that the King is NOT Okay at all. I loved how they showed the castle of house Velaryon in Driftmark

The other half of the episode was a MASTERPIECE. It began when Alicent entered the Throne Hall wearing a GREEN DRESS! You don't how I was hyped on that scene, and with that soundtrack I was just HYPED! So from here we can see the beginning of the conflicts between Alicent & Rhaenyra, the Greens & the Blacks. Alicent realises that Rhaenyra betrayed her by lying to her, And of that she blames her for discharging her father, Otto, from being the hand of the king.

As usual the wedding ends tragically. Joffrey is murdered by Ser Criston Cole. Ser Criston was feeling ashamed for breaking his oath. The King's guard's oath is sacred and he just needed a tease to kill someone and there was Joffrey. Criston Cole dumped his heat on him. But still, Ser Criston didn't forgive himself, as he should, he walked into the garden where is the Weirwood tree is, takes off his dagger and tries to cut his guts, Queen Alicent Hightower yelled his name and there he stops.

From this episode we can assume that the war of the Blacks vs Greens is beginning to start, it didn't start yet. We haven't seen all the allies yet but they're coming on later episode, I hope.

I can go on and on talking about the episode so I should stop here. There alot of interesting characters that I haven't mentioned such as Harwin Strong & Larys Strong, sons of Lyonel Strong. The actors had done a very great job. Hats off to Mily Alcock & Emily Carey whose this episode is the last for them, they were both GREAT. I hope we could see them on other future works, they'll be missed.

The Best Episode Till Now
ghoshi-kol19 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What's the connection between a royal wedding and brilliant storytelling, I am still unaware of but House of the Dragon carries forward the legacy of Game of Thrones effectively and reaches its crescendo in its fifth episode which marks the finale episode for the superior talents of Milky Alcock and Emily Carey. The five episodes that we had with them have been an awesome journey and they have now become an inseparable part of the series - absent but ever present. Coming to this episode, it was flawlessly written and directed, every moment at the wedding feast filled to the core with tension and definitely gives us a well tied up conclusion. The board has been set well and let the dance begin now.

Now, the dance of dragons starts
zezomostafa-1200520 September 2022
What a beautiful episode, it has a beautiful soundtracks and pictures.

The wedding party is great, it remembers me of GOT world from traditions and dancing, etc. In addition, this wedding has an important details such as the gray character of Daemon, the anger of prince Vaelor who will be a great ally of the Princess and sir Kriston and the ending of the episode which emphasize the coalition between the queen and him against the princess.

Never mention the entering of Alicent hightower with the beautiful green dress, What an amazing scene.

Finally we can say goodbye to young Alicent and princess Raehnaira.

Amd welcome to THE DANCE OF DRAGONS.

The real show has begun from the end of this episode.
Rajit_thebingewatcher20 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is the most consuming episode of the season so far. The valerians and targeryans are planning the wedding. You know George RR Martin is the worst wedding planner of the world alive. This time isn't different either.they show the war is about to begin through the queens dress. The future is predicted through ottos mouth. You can see whatever he is talking is happening or going to happen, so whatever hate you have developed till season 4 might vanish this season , because you kinda feel why he is doing it.

Few new characters are introduced.some have small screen time and some have been provided layers depth so we can assume they are going to stay longer.

The throne now have the competitors. The final scene shows now the real show is beginning. Whatever is done before was just the character building.

A little hypocritical
legendkiller10023 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's a little hypocritical for fans who hated the final season of game of thrones to be praising this episode. It commits all of the same crimes. Character development is rushed and unconvincing. It doesn't make sense for Ser Cole to act so sassy expecting Rhaenyra to give up her crown and her whole life to fly away with him. He is legitimately acting as if this is a fair expectation after they had sex once.

We never really feel him develop this level of an obsession with Rhaenyra that's enough to convince him to smash some guy's face on impulse. One episode their relationship is in one place and a lot of time passes between episodes and we are supposed to accept that their relationship is in a new place now but we never really feel that. It's the same thing with Daenerys's arc but somehow people overanalysed that and were emotional about it while here they are forgiving when there's no expectation from the show.

That whole scene final made no sense, first with how the guy just accuses Ser Cole on a hunch, and then Cole losing his mind, smashing his face, completely out of character. 'The prince that was promised' played in the background and they tried to pass it off as a poetic scene but it was just nonsensical.

This show wants to give you several reasons to like and dislike each character so people can pick sides but none of them are really strong reasons. They could have had us spend time with Daemon's wife throughout the series so killing her off would be much more impactful. As such, what Daemon did feels inconsequential because we don't have any connection with his wife. If we knew her it would have impacted us much more and it would have made a big impact on our judgement of Daemon.

The Greens
ahernandez-99436-1481020 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After the expertise of episode 4 I had concerns about whether episode 5 could top it. It certainly did.

We Light the Way is the best episode yet in the tradition of the world its set it this wedding did not go well.

I saw someone call it the Green Wedding and I think that is a perfect name for it. The beacon of Hightower burns green for war and this wedding marks the true beginning of the Dance of Dragons.

This episode executes two important character shifts, that of Ser Criston Cole and that of Alicent Hightower, and it does so perfectly.

The Greens have come into play, the rift between Alicent and Rhaenyra has become irreparable.

It only gets better from here.

High Intensity
Hitchcoc28 September 2022
Sometimes I wish people could view this series without Game of Thrones as a backdrop. People give it terrible ratings because it isn't GOT. This episode with all the incredibly unjust connecting of houses is wonderfully presented. We have suspense, villainy, honor, and deception. No, it is not the red wedding, nor should it be. It is a gathering of forces who are now bringing their own egos and ambitions to the fore. The marriage is going to be a sham, but it probably parallels royal weddings that went on throughout Europe in past centuries. The sexuality of the two young men is bound to be a problem. Of course, one of them couldn't keep his mouth shut or back off. Patience is a virtue, but it is not exhibited here. Outstanding hour of television.

Unwanted Consequences !
Perspicuity126 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another strong episode of House of the Dragon, which was well written, had great acting, was dramatic, suspenseful and introduced some new characters who could prove to be game changers in the days to come.

OBSERVATIONS :

1. I used to think that perhaps Rhaenyra and Ser Criston Cole are falling in love with each other, but I was completely wrong. Rhaenyra never felt anything for Criston, he was a just a guy who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Rhaenyra and Daemon are smitten with each other, they are willing to break the rules for each other; even in the pleasure house Rhaenyra wanted to make love with Daemon. All this just makes me feel bad for Criston Cole, who finds himself in a situation where he is heartbroken and has nowhere to go. The conversation that Criston has with Rhaenyra on the ship, about running away from the Kingdom and getting married felt very earnest and heartfelt. Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole was the star of this episode, perhaps the most valuable player. Fabien perfectly portrayed the emotional state of a conflicted man, who is desperately trying to make sense of the events taking place in his life. His appeal to Rhaenyra felt sweet as well as sad, because we all know that she is a Princess and he is a no one, there is absolutely nothing that can happen between them. I can understand the mental state of Criston at the wedding, he had placed himself in a hopeless situation, his death could have been ordered any moment, he was a silent ticking bomb and Joffrey's talk triggered him because it came across to him as a threat in disguise; but it's not possible to justify his act at the wedding, Criston took it too far, he should have stopped at a few punches. Ser Criston Cole is a broken man, and Rhaenyra is responsible for it, and now there will be consequences, some unwanted consequences.

2. Alicent Hightower's entry into the wedding hall wearing all green was nothing short of spectacular. Alicent is not some warrior who would just barge in with a sword and start fighting to make a statement; her way of showing defiance would obviously be something in line with her personality, which is that of a noble lady. She attended the event, completed her duties but also let everyone know that things are not the same anymore. Alicent, who has always been known to be a soft spoken introvert girl, this time chose not to stay silent and make a bold statement instead. With this act of hers, the battle lines have been drawn; it's not one happy family anymore, it's a divided unit now and both of them will be fighting for the throne. Emily Carey was the other star of this episode with an impeccable performance. She may not say a lot but her expressions and body language speak a thousand words. Although, I am really fond of Olivia Cooke; the actress who will play the older version of Alicent; I am really going to miss Emily.

3. Undoubtedly, Paddy Considine has been the best actor of this series so far. This actor has added so much realism to the King's situation that you just don't feel that he's acting at all, you genuinely feel bad for him. This actor doesn't even need to say dialogues all the time, his facial expressions, the way he eats food make it loud and clear about how frustrated he is with his life. In the wedding sequence, his stressful look added a lot of intensity to the scene; he barely said anything but his expressions allowed the tension to hit the roof.

4. I liked how the fight sequence and the chaos that followed was depicted. We were shown everything from the King's point of view, who was as confused and unaware as the viewers of what was happening. A lot of tension kept building up as the scene went by, and Viserys's brilliant performance added even more stress to it.

5. When the fight broke out in the end, Daemon mysteriously disappeared. The most logical explanation would be that Daemon ran out angrily after confronting Rhaenyra and a fair amount of time passed before the fight began. We were of course shown the events in that way to create a stressful situation and make it confusing.

6. The dialogues in this episode were very well written. This is something that the later seasons of Game of Thrones couldn't do and ended up disappointing everyone. But thankfully, we have written material available for this show and the writers are doing a pretty good job in adapting and filling in the blanks. The conversation between Rhaenyra and Laenor about Roast Duck and Goose was perfectly fine as it is, but it actually had nothing to do with Goose or Duck; usage of metaphors to explain something feels amazing when you understand what's happening. The writing in this episode was just beautiful. Once again, when Alicent is confronting Criston about the night Rhaenyra went out with Daemon; her hesitation led her to talk in such a layered manner, it felt as if she is reciting a poem! The writing department deserves some appreciation for the wonderful work they have done so far.

7. We got a proper introduction to the Strong brothers in this episode, Larys Strong and Harwin Strong. Harwin always comes across as a self-assured man, and in this episode we even see that he fears no one when he's given a job. The casting team has done a fantastic job in selecting Ryan Corr for the job. Till now, I used to think that Otto Hightower is the Little Finger of this show, but I guess he is not that bad; the perfect candidate is turning out to be Larys Strong. His conversation with Alicent gave an impression that he is an extremely sneaky and shrewd person, who is secretly spying everyone and filling their ears to create chaos, because chaos is a ladder. But a key question arises as to how does Larys know about the tea that the Maester himself served to Rhaenyra? Is the Maester on his side ? Is Lyonel Strong, the new hand aware of this ? Is there truly a maester's conspiracy to weaken the Targaryen Empire? Make them fight among themselves, so they end up destroying each other? Maester Mellos hasn't exactly helped Viserys in getting better, his treatment has made the King weaker and weaker; and despite that the Maester is unwilling to try out new kinds of medicines and treatments; why?

8. A very interesting character got introduced in this episode, but unfortunately got killed too soon. I was quite impressed by the acting of Solly McLeod, who played the character of Joffrey Lonmouth. He was giving the vibes of a solid grey character and his confident acting made be believe that we are in for some interesting mind games. But since it's too soon to kill off the main characters, I guess we will have to prepare ourselves for more such deaths.

9. I really wish the creators of this show could do away with the white wigs and let all actors have their natural hair. In Game of Thrones, only Daenerys had white hair and it looked decent, but since this show is about the Targaryen's so there are quite a few people with white wigs and it looks terrible. Alicent Hightower looks lovely with her natural hair, I wish I could say that about every other character. I feel the show runners should have taken some creative liberty and avoided white hair completely.

10. Rachel Redford made an impact in just a three minute role as Lady Rhea Royce, and now I wish we could see more of her. The actress was extremely beautiful and did a fantastic job of portraying the fiery Princess.

11. I didn't quite like the music in the dance sequence of the wedding. It felt like Ramin Djawadi used some left over or rejected tunes from the red wedding episode of Game of Thrones here.

12. There was a lot of mist and smoke in the wedding hall sequence, which unfortunately reduced visibility. I don't know why the creators of this show are going for these kind of visuals for this show; why can't they opt for crystal clear sharp visuals ? Why make a creative choice that renders half the things invisible ? The creators will perhaps say, well there was a lot of fire for lighting, so lot of smoke came out and hence we had to show it to keep things realistic; well so much realism is not needed, we want to see things properly. It seems the showrunners haven't learnt much from the disaster that was the Long Night episode.

13. I don't know why George Martin said that Daemon is his favourite character, because Daemon just doesn't come across as a good man. Daemon has the vibes of Ramsay Bolton, sharp, smart, brave, strong but also evil, who doesn't really care about others. Of course, Matt Smith is doing a terrific job of portraying his grey shades and evil intentions, but that doesn't change the fact that Daemon is not a very likeable man.

14. I guess there are no redeemable characters in this show, since all of them are grey and have done something wrong. Rhaenyra was easily the best character before this episode, but now she too has turned grey taking lessons from her Uncle Daemon. I know there are talks that there are no issues if a man has sex with random women and has children everywhere, but a women becomes characterless if she does so; well the simple answer to that is that it's wrong to have extra marital affairs regardless of gender. If a man does it, he's wrong and if a woman does it, she is wrong as well. In Game of Thrones, we found the Starks, who were honourable and never indulged in such activities; but in House of the Dragon, we have no one.

15. From now on, we won't see Milly Alcock and Emily Carey, which is extremely sad. We have been following their stories so far, and both actresses have done a phenomenal job in portraying their respective characters; but now we will see new faces and it feels as if the show will start afresh. The actors who laid the groundwork won't be around anymore. Even if the new actresses turn out to be brilliant, there is absolutely no doubt that House of the Dragon won't be the same without Milly and Emily.

History in the making
flynnr-6637519 September 2022
This episode will go down in history as one of the most perfectly written episodes of television ever. The music, dialogue, acting, and writing is all perfect, and it makes for one of the most thrilling and intense hours of television of all time. It feels amazing to finally have another show with the same attention to detail and magnificent writing that "Game Of Thrones" had in its first 4-5 seasons. This show compared to "Game of Thrones" is like comparing "Better Call Saul" to "Breaking Bad". They are both excellent shows in their own rights, and season one, episode five of "House of the Dragon" will go down as the beginning of this show's greatness.

Strong and eventful episode with some memorable scenes
snoozejonc16 June 2023
Viserys negotiates a deal to secure his legacy.

Some of the previous episodes have laid the foundations well for the key moments of this episode to have great tension. It is in these moments that you are on edge waiting to see what will to go wrong and who will be the instigator. There is little else I can say without spoiling.

Visually it is beautiful episode to look at, with virtually every scene containing great cinematic imagery. I particularly love the use of Castleton for the early Vale scenes and everything else on location and inside a studio.

The art design it outstanding as always. One scene that involves a large number of people is especially good and the use of a certain coloured garment was a nice touch.

Some of the more violent and bloody imagery I would say is slightly overly gratuitous to appease the bloodlust of certain audiences, but aside from that I think it is one of the strongest episodes so far.

Paddy Considine is the outstanding performer yet again, with Rhys Ifans also being quietly great in an understated role by his usual standards.

Why cant this universe have a wedding which ends with happily ever after?
Giannis250419 September 2022
Just kidding, the episode is pure perfection...Its pretty awesome that we are in half way through the season and i still cant decide who i love and who i hate, who i stand and who i want to punch him in the face...But yes,Universe of GoT and weddings is not a good composition and that is another episode which clarifires it...Again great dialogues, amazing acting perfomances(especially from Fabien Frankel aka Sir Criston Cole) and we see more of the incredible cinematography that we all know this show can provide...I dont know whats next,i think the next episode is with the new actors and a huge time jump...Im so hyped for what is next.

9* for me cause i know they will come up with a banger in the next episodes(Dont forget guys we are just 4 weeks from the episode 9 and we all what GoT's episode 9 means)

Still a poor man's "Game of Thrones" with poor character development
Geekofriendly19 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I rarely come across story set-ups served as carelessly and blatantly as in this episode. While I don't require "Game of Thrones" shocking moments to find quality in "House of the Dragon", I don't want to expect what happens next either. Bored viewer = writer's fault.

Unless the creators are aiming to severely subvert our expectations (I somehow doubt it), the lazy writing either reveals far too much of what's obviously going to happen in the future (the king growing wary about his brother's new riches and power) or focuses far too much on plot points that are going nowhere.

Here's an example of the latter: The writers desperately want us to know that King Viserys Targaryen is sick and dying, and yet today's freshly released preview for the 10-year jump that will happen between episodes 5 and 6 shows that he will still be alive in a decade. If so, then what exactly was the point of him falling to the ground at the end of this episode?

It is nothing more than a revalation of how poorly structured the writing is for this show. Instead of constantly alluding to an early death of the king, the writers should have instead focused on giving the king actual character traits beyond those scabs. You know, so that we get to deeply care for or despise the character before he actually dies. Instead, we get a one-note king who grieves for not being a war general.

Ser Criston Cole goes completely off the rails berserk and kills a man in front of a 100 people because of ... reasons? It comes off merely as a story progression that will create twists and turns. Surely a man of such stoic and highly moral demeanour would know better than to actually get emotional over a quick remark, let alone even succumb to having sex with the future queen he has sworn to protect in the first place, right?

The further I write this review, the more I am reminded that most of what the characters of "House of the Dragon" decide to DO just doesn't feel congruent with what we are told about who they ARE.

I respect this series for the production value, but I am becoming wary that not much more lies beyond it.

Are people watching a different show than me?
itisdoug19 September 2022
I mean this sincerely, but I don't understand how this show, and this episode in particular, have such a high rating. It's not a bad show, per se. But it's not good.

This episode continues a theme of colourless, lifeless world building, introducing new characters that (like all the others) we aren't given a reason to care about, and adding in shock violence and gore with shaky justification.

Given what happened at the end of the episode (without spoilers), there was maybe once scene of character development that led up to it. It's lazy.

Even the CGI is looking bad in some wider shots (the boat after the "run away with me" talk, the shot of the city when they arrive back and Allicent is looking down at the courtyard).

HotD is trying way too hard to be like GoT but is coming off as an edgy, boring wannabe with weird time skips, no real plot, and literally no one to cheer for. I genuinely don't know what people are enjoying in this show.

Three stars instead of one because the actors are doing well with the poor material they have.

Tense beyond belief.
mattwalsh91-893-23160320 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It seems to me that the same people complaining about the Michael Bay level of action in season 8, are now moaning that there's not enough action here. Be honest, what do you people actually want?

The amount of subtle relationships, conflicts, and nods in this episode was staggering. This episode did things that most people wouldn't have even noticed unless they knew the whole story. And it did them masterfully. The buildup, the music, the subtle introductions of key characters. Genius.

People say this show is too slow and boring. The show has a time skip every episode but still manages to give every episode time to breath. That's magnificent pacing in my opinion. People on Westeros dot org are moaning about the dialogue, but the show would never be good enough for the big brains over on that site.

People fail to realise that the first half of this season has been putting the players in place and setting up the central conflicts and characters that'll be seen as the show goes on. If we just went straight into the action, people would have complained there wasn't enough back story. You literally can't win.

People complain there aren't enough dragons. Do you realise that the dragon battles down the line are going to blow anything GoT ever did out of the water? The scope and size of some of the future scenes are going to be truly remarkable to witness. But nah, we need a dragon battle every episode to keep our social media ruined brains entertained.

People complain that watching two young girls have drama is not good tv. That's literally the plot. That's what George wrote. If you don't like that, you seriously may as well stop watching.

Honestly, if the show is that boring or bad to you, just stop watching and reviewing it. There is absolutely no need for you to carry on if you genuinely feel this way.

This episode was damn good, full of tension and intrigue, building relationships and conflicts ready for the rest of the season. Considered knocking one point off purely for the fact that Rhea Royce's actress was absolutely terrible, but I'm not going to. Glad she died in her first scene though in all honesty.

Work of a genius
nilaycalling20 September 2022
Makers know very well that what to show and what to leave upto audiences' . The climax was one of the most intense ever, not even the scriptwriter have imagined such intensity in the climax of this particular episode.

They way this show is developing if like a Symphony created by Beethoven. The lighting effects, ufff....

This is not GOT but an i dependent genre itself. The story and direction is so perfect no one is missing the ample time to Dragons at screen.

Characters, Story grows over you.

Simple suggestions, release episodes on Sunday instead of monday and please don't make us wait for years between seasons.

Warning: Spoilers
There's 0 suspense .. even the wedding was a joke.. what was that all about?? No conspiracies no plots No motives, no excitement.. no horror X nothing

Now I'm yawing every episode

They introduce us to daemon's wife and they just make her fell off the horse just like that and dies..???

Maybe come up with a better death .. Poison.. a knife.. throw her from a high tower..!!!' Something that keeps us going .. ugh There's so many things you can come up with but they are so lazy .. they decided to shoot a scene in under 30 minutes .. and shove it in our faces

There's nothing here makes us thrilled or excited.. boring

I miss the brutality of game of thrones.

Epic soundtrack
siton-8206920 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The combination of the wedding "band" music with the storyline in this episode is genius. So much happens in the last wedding episode without words between the characters (Total Art). The moment daemon enter to the hall for example. Or the moment the queen enters. So much happens by eye contact.

I was riveted the whole episode in total suspense. Just an experience. Anyway my advice is to not do ceremony in Westeros :) even If they promise everything will be fine :).

I felt like I am "again" on the game of thrones "Red Wedding" (You wait and wait and wait for it to come). Don't miss this episode :)

So familiar, maybe red wedding?
ghasempoor-8507720 September 2022
It was so intense and gave me damn goosebumps.

The start until before the last 10 minutes had a very ordinary path . But the last 10 minutes. Was 😶😶😶impressive and astonishing and every good sensation we ever have in this universe.

It reminds me very close to the red wedding in game of thrones. I don't exactly which season was that, but I remember it gave me exact the same feeling as I felt in this episode. And last point is music, which is one of the best songs of ramin djawadi. And I just was staring at my screen for a minute after it was finished and gave me goosebumps. Thanks for this memorable episode.

The Dance of the Dragons is Here
TRIDENT174520 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The seeds of war have bloomed at last in this episode, as Alicent claws above the abyss that she has been forced down. She lights the way for The Greens, Ageons ascension, and what would eventually be half the realm. New alliances are being made and old ones broken, peace is corroding away, and Westeros has begun to crumble. The Dance of the Dragons is here, in what is so far, the best episode of the season.

This episode has the richest characterisation in the past five episodes. Ser Criston and Alicent's arcs this episode were flawless. The wedding was flawless. The score was flawless. "The Green Wedding" is very close to equaling the red and purple weddings.

"We Light the Way" was impeccable, and I'm very much looking forward to what's to come.

It was a perfect episode

Warning: Spoilers
So let's start with how good they follow the story from the book. I love how good make an episode every time following the book and explaining the characters and the story, we shouldn't forget that this is a political drama more than an adventure full of battles and these political games are represented too well in this show. They really make a perfect choice for every actor in these series for the people who are the protagonists in this game for the Iron Throne. Maybe many people were bored of the series because of the no battles, but I didn't mind,I know that the games behind the curtains are interesting in the same way as battles and I love it.

Wedding in Westeros has a potential to become a battlefield
mmehdirajabi27 September 2022
In general, inviting you to a wedding in Westeros is more dangerous than inviting you to a war. This episode really delivered a strong episode to the audience, and I think its strong point is the two-person sequence, such as the dialogue sequence between Rhynera and Christian Cole and the sequence of the king and his new advisor, which is about The legacy he leaves speaks of himself, it deepens the characterization and sets the stage for future events, something that the rings of power do not use at all, and the dialogue sequences are completely ignored except for one or two cases. Because of this character, they don't find depth in that series.

Still missing alot

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know how to start, its like a big production/budget was handled to amateurs to execute it. There is no creativity, no mystery, no magic. One can be watching and doing something else, just looking at events unfold with no real attaatchment. Even the characters (except for Daemon) are just actors with fancy costumes. No charisma or attachment towards them.

They try to make it like GoT in sudden deaths, or deaths during a wedding, but for some reason its not working. Oh and why they use the GoT intro music again for this show?! Couldnt they come up with another intro specially for HotD?!

Another thing, where are the Starks and the North? Why they are not mentioned? And why the Velaroyns with their black skin and weird/funny white hair, didn't appear in GoT? They got extinct?

The whole thing looks like a medieval thing and not the magical mysterious world of GoT.

Before air, episode had already 600+ 10 star ratings
migasrod20 September 2022
What is this? This entertainment fast foody cycle where everything comes half stripped and nothing really quenchs your hunger.. Is this a mexican soap opera? What the hell am i watching? The fighting scene makes no sense at all, the episode keeps cutting from scene to scene leaving big blank spaces between them that you have to fill yourself There is no one to root for at the end of this episode.

Poorly done, oh and all the 10 ratings before the episode had aired was fun too.. had to take a screen shot of that.

Its very disappointing to see that every show made where millions are poured into rarely goes above average nowadays.
