A movie as drawn out as a divorce. The only intense scene was when both of them expressed their perspectives and it ended in tears and a hug. Divorce lawyers engaged, fight for custody, the ugly truths, the child spending time with each.....it is a realistic and uninteresting movie. I am not sure why it is nominated.

A woman went to the neighbour one night and suggested that they sleep together in a non sexual way and just talk. Their spouses have passed away. He goes over to her place, wine, dinner, then they go into town openly to spend time, and get to know each others past. Her grandchild showed up as her sons marriage is collapsing, they both spend time with him sleeping in between them, played with trains he built for his daughter, go camping.... they have sex once somewhere, then she leaves to another town to help care for him and it ends with her calling him to talk. It is alright, as i seldom see companionship portrayed at this age. You do not really get much of a connection or excitement from these two.

Votes: 147,750

My second Audrey Hepburn movie after Breakfast at Tiffany. I adore her and the charm of these old classics. A princess escapes her duty for a few days (the press reports that she has taken ill during her European tour) She was found on a bench outside, out of it, he took her home and she spends a lovely time in Rome with an American journalist Joe Bradley.... going on a bike ride, eating gelato at spanish steps, going to a dance party (invited by the hairdresser who chopped her hair short) and while at the party, people were here to escort her back but a fight broke out while Joe was trying to protect her and they both jumped into the sea, kissed while wet and on shore.... she returned to the Colosseum and during the next press conference, he was there and she knew he knows her identity all along, she shook hands with journalists and his pal handed her the envelope of photos he took of her. They never betrayed her. It was a sweet movie i enjoyed.

I did not really enjoy this one. A photographer in a leg cast visited by his pretty gf and nurse looks out at his apartment neighbours. He suspects that this man killed his wife as he went out at 3am with his suitcase 3 times, wrapped knives and saws up, tied a luggage with ropes and took jewellery and rings out of her handbag and she was never seen again. Anyway, a dog died, the gf and nurse tried to dig up the soil on ground floor, the gf ventured into his apartment to look for evidence, he came back, the photographer called the police and she was arrested. He saw he was being watched, came over to the apartment, asked what he wanted, tassled and photographer fell to the ground, ended up in another leg cast and the man was arrested and will show the police the east river when he dug up the body and disposed it there....
